The Agency Hosts Welcome Reception for Phoenix Investors, Ubiquity Solar, and Imperium3 NY

On Monday, November 1, 2021 the Broome County Industrial Development Agency hosted a formal welcome reception at Celebrations on the Avenue for the new owners and tenants of the former IBM Huron Campus in Endicott, New York. Phoenix Investors LLC, a Milwaukee based commercial real estate firm, acquired the Huron Campus at the end of September. The approximately 4,000,000 square foot campus will also serve as the new home for both Imperium3 NY (IM3NY) and Ubiquity Solar.

 

Phoenix Investors currently touts a portfolio of commercial properties totaling roughly 46 million square feet across 29 different states. They are a leader in the rennovation and redevelopment of industrial sites, providng tenants with state-of-the art facilities for production. Reception attendees, including local elected officials and established business leaders in the region, noted their excitement for the positive impacts that Phoenix Investors will have on the community. Phoenix Investors hopes to attract more major manufacturers to the area as they bring the Huron Campus back online transforming it into a truly innovative facility. 

 

Currently, IM3NY, one of the new tenants at the Campus, is in the process of designing their world-class gigafactory for large scale lithium-ion battery manufacturing. The company is leading the way in innovative energy storage technology hoping to promote a cleaner, greener and more efficient way to manufacture and utilize the lithium-ion battery. Ubiquity Solar, the other incoming tenant, similarly believes in pursuing a cleaner and greener relationship with energy. The Canadian firm plans to utilize approximately 80,000 square feet of their first United States based manufacturing facility at the former Huron Campus for the production of solar panels.

 

The Agency is looking forward to working with Phoenix Investors, IM3NY, and Ubiquity Solar to sherpherd in new economic growth and opportunites in both Endicott and Broome County as a whole.
