On June 2, 2025, local and state officials joined Square Deal Partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of Riverside Gardens, a transformative project located at 400 Riverside Drive in Johnson City. The development will repurpose two former Davis College buildings, breathing new life into a site that has sat vacant for years.

What It Will Bring

    • 67 market-rate apartments, with 65% designed as one-bedroom units.

    • Additional studios, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom layouts to meet diverse needs.

    • Completion expected by summer 2026, with pre-leasing available this winter.

  • Commercial & Office Space

    • Approximately 22,000 square feet of commercial space for businesses.

    • The former library building will be leased as office space, creating opportunities for local entrepreneurs and organizations.
