Agency Incentives Help Val‑U Auto & Towing Expand with New Steel‑Fabricated Facility in Binghamton

Agency Incentives Help Val‑U Auto & Towing Expand with New Steel‑Fabricated Facility in Binghamton

Val‑U Auto & Towing, a long‑standing locally operated towing and auto repair service, is taking a major step forward with the construction of a new steel‑fabricated facility in the City of Binghamton. This investment strengthens the company’s urban presence and positions it for continued growth in one of Broome County’s most essential service sectors.

The new facility will support up to 10 new jobs, expanding Val‑U Auto’s capacity to serve residents, businesses, and municipal partners. As the company grows, so does its ability to meet increasing demand for towing, repair, and emergency response services across the region.

How The Agency Supported the Project

To help make this expansion possible, The Agency provided targeted economic development assistance through our Small Business Incentive Program, which offers an 8% New York State sales tax exemption on eligible construction materials and equipment. This support helped reduce upfront costs and allowed Val‑U Auto to reinvest in the infrastructure needed to scale its operations.

The project reflects The Agency’s commitment to strengthening local businesses, supporting job creation, and encouraging investment in Binghamton’s urban core. By partnering with Val‑U Auto, we’re helping ensure that essential service providers have the resources they need to grow and continue serving the community.

Highlighted in Our Annual Report

Val‑U Auto’s expansion was featured in The Agency’s 2025 Annual Report as a key example of how small business incentives can drive meaningful economic impact. Readers can explore the full report to learn more about how our programs are supporting local employers and strengthening Broome County’s economic landscape.
